“They may look broken, because it’s coted with wax this tends to happen but nothing wrong with the wick.”
The 25 wicks I ordered arrived like this. I reached out and said “I have received these and unfortunately they broke during shipment. They were placed where the box broke.” refer to pics. A got a reply promptly and they said “They may look broken, because it’s coted with wax this tends to happen but nothing wrong with the wick.” I replied “ Yes, but I know how they like when they do not have cracks. Now its hard for them to stay up when I pour the wax. They bend.
I’m happy to send them back for an exchange” She replied “Sure, send it back and will replace with a new pack.“
I didn’t send them back. I realised it was just $6. It’s not worth it. But I tried to use them (refer to video) because I agree they will still work but these $6 are a big deal to small businesses trying to offer good quality candles.
Honestly I was just gonna leave it. And not leave a feedback. But, as I’ve said, $6 is worth a lot for small businesses.

Hi There, very sorry to hear you had issues with these wicks
Unfortunately there were some isolated batches of wicks we received from our US suppliers which did not appear to be waxed correctly ie: the wax coating seemed to be too much on the surface and not within the braid
we did follow up with our supplier at the time and they informed us that while this did not look good, it did not effect the performance of the wicks
Just wanted to also let you know that wicks are not meant to stand up on their own and therefore must be supported at the top with wick holders to ensure the wick is held straight and centered, while the wax is added to the jar
I lastly wanted to say that the offer was genuine for you to get replacement wicks and disappointed that you didn't take the offer, especially given $6 is a lot for your small business
